Wherever you are, the Library is.
The library isn’t just a place you visit. Every day, people use NVDPL's digital collections in ways that fit their lives.
A commuter can listen to an audiobook while travelling to work.
A caregiver can borrow an e-book after the kids are asleep.
Someone with limited mobility can access the library without leaving home.
On average, more than 800 e-books and e-audiobooks are borrowed every day at North Vancouver District Public Library. The library is there wherever life takes you, regardless of schedule, location, mobility, or circumstance.
But did you know? Unlike print books, most digital titles are licensed rather than owned, often costing libraries several times more than consumer editions and requiring licenses to be repurchased over time.
As more people discover the convenience of digital reading and listening, NVDPL continues to invest in its digital collections.
Community support helps us go even further by adding more titles and copies where demand is greatest.
This Library Month, we’re inviting our community to help us raise $10,000 to enhance our digital collections, add more e-books and audiobooks, and reduce wait times for popular titles.
Your support helps increase the availability of high-demand titles, reduce wait times, and expand opportunities for people to read and listen wherever life takes them.
