Many in our community like Margaret are just one challenging moment away from needing the Food Bank. Whether it’s an illness or injury, like her case, or losing a job that causes time away from work, there are so many reasons why someone may need help putting food on the table.

In fact, North York Harvest is seeing more families accessing our services than at any other time in our history.

In 2023, our food bank network was accessed close to 300,000 times, a 30% increase in clients served when compared to 2022.

Your support enables us to provide nutritious, culturally appropriate food, advocate for vital policy changes, and foster economic self-sufficiency through education and skill-building programs.
