Craig Mine JHSC June Health & Safety BBQ

As part of the June Health and Safety month, the JHSC at Craig/Onaping Depth Mine have decided to do something special and will be raising funds for Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer (NOFCC).

The event is set to take place over three weeks on four separate dates - June 6, 11, 13 & 18, 2024. Each day of the event will include games and activities, as well as a dunk tank. Employees will have the chance to pay a fee to dunk their "favourite" supervisor or manager.

All proceeds from the dunk tank and funds raised through the event will benefit Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer (NOFCC).

NOFCC supports over 200 families who have a child diagnosed with cancer in Northern Ontario annually. Childhood cancer is not only emotionally devastating for any family, but it is also financially difficult. When a child in the North is diagnosed with cancer, the family is forced to travel and spend long periods away from home for treatment. During this time, the family is overwhelmed with treatment and travel related costs, on top of their bills back home. NOFCC provides supports to meet the financial, educational and emotional needs of these families.

Donations received as part of the Craig Mine JHSC June Health & Safety BBQ will help fund NOFCC's programs and services to assist families of children with cancer in the North every step of the way.

"Donate today to help a family in your community tomorrow."

Special thanks to the Craig Mine JHSC and to all who donate through this initiative.

We could not do the work we do without you.
