Owned and operated by the Northern Vancouver Island Salmonid Enhancement Association, the Quatse Salmon Stewardship Centre is an educational facility dedicated to supporting salmonid enhancement, conservation and education initiatives on Northern Vancouver Island.
The Quatse Salmon Stewardship Centre is a unique educational facility featuring a world-class interpretive gallery, exhibits, and displays that promote discovery into the world of salmon and their natural environment. Guests and visitors to the Salmon Centre get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore and get hands-on with salmon and learn how critically important they are to the freshwater and marine environments.
Tours of the Quatse Hatchery and Salmon Centre are available throughout the year to the general public. From September to June, we offer school programs to teach local students about salmon conservation. Public workshops, lectures, volunteer opportunities and special events are organized throughout the year.
