Healthy communities
North of Superior Healthcare Group (NOSH) is a rural healthcare organization providing essential hospital, long-term care, and supportive housing services along the North Shore of Lake Superior in Northwestern Ontario.
NOSH facilities include McCausland Hospital and Wilkes Terrace Long-Term Care in Terrace Bay, Ontario, and Wilson Memorial General Hospital and Barrick Care Long-Term Care in Marathon, Ontario. NOSH also provides operational support for the Peninsula Manor Senior Supportive Housing Complex, helping seniors maintain independence while remaining connected to their communities.
Our organization serves the communities of Pawgwasheeng Pays Plat First Nation, Rossport, Terrace Bay, Jackfish, Marathon, Biigtigong Nishnaabeg, and Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg. Across this large and often remote region, access to local healthcare is essential, and our hospitals and care teams play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of residents, families, and visitors.
As a registered charitable organization, community support is critical to our mission. Donations help fund vital medical equipment, facility upgrades, and programs that directly enhance patient care and quality of life for residents in hospital and long-term care.
With the dedication of our staff, physicians, volunteers, and donors, NOSH remains committed to delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care close to home—ensuring that rural residents continue to receive the services they need today and into the future.
