MISSION

1. is a legal entity that brings together nurses and any other health professional or person interested in initiatives in accordance with the philosophy described in the NWB Charter;
2. promotes best and quality practices in the field of international cooperation and solidarity, mutual capacity building and sustainable development, in particular through training, teaching and research;
3. is a non-profit organization (NPO) and a charity organization duly registered with the Quebec Enterprise Register (REQ) and the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). As such, IISF receives donations, legacies and other similar contributions in money, securities or real estate;
4. administers donations, legacies, and contributions directed towards general funds or funds reserved for sustainable development projects in the countries where it operates;
5. organizes and supports fundraising campaigns with the aim of raising funds to support its activities for charitable purposes;
6. assesses, advises and supports NWB cooperants in the development and implementation of international cooperation and solidarity initiatives;
7. establishes Partnership Agreements with local organizations selected according to high standards of logistics organization, security, and quality clinical services;
8. establishes Framework Agreements for Collaboration with individuals, groups or educational institutions in order to define the roles, responsibilities and obligations of each of the parties.
