Oak Bay preschool is a member of the Vancouver Island Cooperative Preschool Association, in which parents take on the business and funding aspect of the preschool each year. This allows tuition fees to be as low as possible making the preschool accessible to diverse demographics in our community. We rely on fundraising and granting opportunities throughout the year to keep this preschool running. Your support allows for field trip opportunities, workshops for the kids, literacy support, and so much more.

Year after year, families have returned for the love and sense of community Oak Bay Preschool offers. We are greatly inspired by the Reggio Emilia pedagogical approach, learning through curiosity, nature, and child-led free play. Our space is filled with age-appropriate play materials, some in loose forms for open-ended discovery and creativity. We also offer a wide variety of opportunities for learning through nature, the arts, music/movement, and early S.T.E.M.. We have an attached outdoor classroom, where we spend time each day, rain or shine. We view each child as a capable, intelligent individual and we join them as enthusiastic collaborators and partners in the wonder and awe of early years learning.
