Your donation will help provide emergency boarding, medical care and food for the pets of vulnerable people who, because of COVID-19, are unable to do so themselves.

Our Families in Transition (FIT) program was developed to assist community members in Halton who are temporarily homeless due to domestic violence, financial crisis or health issues. FIT helps people by providing temporary care for their pets.

We are now faced with an increasing demand for this essential service due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We need to provide the same level of service to those facing quarantine or temporary hospitalization. People in our community facing this hardship who cannot afford these services will have the security of knowing their pet(s) will be cared for while they seek assistance for their own physical and/or mental well-being.

We are committed to providing this positive and vital service in order to preserve the precious human-animal bond.
