About OASIS ADDICTION RECOVERY SOCIETY
In 1992, the Oasis Movement was founded by Takis Liris and a group of other recovering individuals as a place for people in the 12-step and recovery community connect with in a safe and sober environment. Many people in recovery wanted a place to congregate but did not want to go back to the “bar scene”, hence the creation of the Metro Oasis Club.
Today, Oasis Addiction Recovery Society provides several programs for individuals according to their specific needs and goals including pre-employment life-skills, employment services, and post-hiring support. Oasis’s team of coaches, employment counsellors and supports combine education and lived experience to guide clients as they make decisions and take their next steps.
This is all made possible with financial support from three levels of government, the operations of Oasis Clothing Bank, partnerships with other organizations & charities, private donations, and special projects.
