About OCEANSIDE COMMUNITY ARTS COUNCIL
OCAC was founded in 1976 by groups of local residents dedicated to promoting a wider enjoyment and appreciation of the arts and community-based cultural events throughout the greater Parksville/Qualicum Beach area of central Vancouver Island.
Oceanside Community Arts Council is a non-profit, registered charity that serves the entire Oceanside community by providing programs and a venue for cultural and artistic expression. Music, literature, performing arts and visual arts are all served within the Arts Council directive “to engage, energize, educate and enrich the cultural life of the Oceanside community”.
