One Child's Village is a nongovernmental, not-for-profit organization providing assistance to HIV/AIDS orphans of our global community. We focus on the quality of life of orphans in developing nations by creating and supporting the conditions necessary for their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being.
One Child's Village identifies the children of the world as the most vulnerable members of our global family. We reaffirm the inherent right of children to have an adequate education, proper healthcare, adequate food and clothing, a safe environment, and a secure family and community life that would enable them to grow up in and contribute to their community and the world in a productive and compassionate way.
We invest in today's children – the leaders of tomorrow – with particular emphasis on supporting orphans who have been affected or infected by HIV/AIDS.
About ONE CHILD'S VILLAGE
One Child's Village was first incorporated in Alberta, Canada in November 2005 and received the status of a Federal Charitable Non-Governmental Organization in July 2006. Our current priority is to assist a group of 200 orphans how have been affected by the ravages of HIV/AIDS, and are located at Kawangware Children's Center in the Kawangware slum of Nairobi, Kenya. We are also developing programs in Bumala, a highly impoverished region in the Busia district of Western Kenya.
