Recognizing that infancy and early childhood is a crucial period in the healthy development of an individual, the Ontario Association for Infant and Child Development:

• develops, promotes and supports policies, services and research in the field of infant and child development in the Province of Ontario;

• shares information among professionals working in the field of infant and child development;

• promotes ongoing education in the field of infant and child development for members and the community at large;

• and links with other organizations having the same or similar objects.

MEMBERSHIP is open to any INDIVIDUAL PROFESSIONAL providing early intervention service to infants, young children and their families; STUDENTS; PARENTS of young children at risk for or having delays in development; and PERSONS INTERESTED in promoting the optimal development of infants, young children and their families, and PROGRAMS (organizations) providing service to infants, young children and their families.
