The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society is a registered charity, established in 1873. The Society, and its network of animal welfare communities facilitate and provide for province-wide leadership on matters relating to the prevention of cruelty to animals and the promotion of animal well-being.
In its role as a charity, the Ontario SPCA provides a variety of mission-based programs including community-based sheltering, animal wellness services, provincial animal transfers, shelter health & wellness, high-volume spay/neuter services, animal rescue, animal advocacy, Indigenous partnership programs and humane education.
Together, we are reducing pet overpopulation through spay/neuter services, educating about responsible pet ownership and compassion to animals, addressing welfare concerns, rescuing and rehoming animals, and providing care to animals in need.
Donating to the Ontario SPCA means you’re giving deserving animals a second chance. Your donation changes animals’ lives, and often, the lives of the humans who care for and adopt them. If an animal has changed your life for the better, consider supporting the Ontario SPCA with a one-time donation, a monthly donation or even a gift of securities. CanadaHelps makes it simple – choose your donation option below and follow the instructions given on the page. If you want to get in touch with us directly, please see our contact details below.
Thank you for supporting the Ontario SPCA.
What People Are Saying
"The Ontario SPCA deserves high honours for their work in helping abused and neglected animals. The world would be a sad place without our furred and feathered friends and I am grateful to all those who believe that animals are entitled to equal rights."
— Anne, Ontario SPCA Donor
"To all the special people in your organization, a very sincere thanks for the work that you do! It's easy to give money, but you give time, love and I am sure tears. Thank you, God Bless you and all the claws and paws (and beaks)."
