About ONTARIO TRACK3 ADAPTIVE SPORTS ASSOCIATION
The Ontario Track3 Adaptive Sports Association is a volunteer-based charity enabling kids with cognitive and physical disabilities to discover their abilities, talents, and confidence while achieving their physical potential through the magic and freedom of snow sports.
We provide our student-athletes with the best instruction, equipment, and environment for them to thrive in. This allows our student-athletes to see how much they can learn and achieve despite the obstacles and challenges life has put in their path. Through experiencing the exhilaration of skiing and snowboarding, our student-athletes build their self-esteem, confidence, and independence, which encourages them to flourish in all aspects of their lives.
We are continuously in need of volunteers and fortunate to have over 285 volunteers presently delivering this program to over 100 children and youth across 17 seven-week programs at 13 ski hills in Ontario.
Our Mission
Our mission is to change lives by serving young athletes, their families and the broader community with empowering adaptive snow sports experiences.
Our mission is guided by three core principles:
Inclusion - Enable our student-athletes with the same opportunities and experiences that are available to other children within their families, schools, and communities.
Ability - Empower our student-athletes to discover their abilities, talents, and gifts to reach their full potential.
Freedom - Inspire our student-athletes to experience the magic and freedom of alpine sports.
Our Motto: Safety, Fun and Learning
OUR ACCOUNTABILITY
Since 1972, our team of volunteers has delivered adaptive ski and snowboarding sessions to thousands of children and youth with disabilities. Our generous donors and supporters have helped us make alpine sports available to kids of all abilities for 50 years. Thank you. With only two staff members, substantially all donated funds are directed to getting the children onto the ski hills.
