About:

Literacy Lambton champions literacy for all ages delivering programs for both children and adults - free of charge. Adult learners are helped with reading, writing, math, basic computer, digital skills and financial literacy. Literacy Lambton's children's and family literacy programs build reading, writing, and math skills in a way that bolster self-esteem. Having fun while learning is a key component of our children's programs. Our Baby Bookworms project ensures every new baby born in Lambton County is greeted with a literacy welcome with a handmade tote waiting in hospital cribs filled with books, a reading log, and valuable community connections from early literacy programs to community intervention services and supports for healthy families.

Literacy Lambton is fuelled by valuable volunteers. These special individuals are committed to building literacy in Lambton County. Roles range from our governance Board, adult program mentors, children's programs volunteers, bingo crew and more. Read about the roles and apply online at literacylambton.org/volunteer
