Ornge is the transport medicine service provider for Ontario. Transport medicine is about delivering specialized medical care in a mobile environment. Whether delivered using an airplane, helicopter or land vehicle, it is the connective tissue for the hospital system. It is one of the most complex areas of medicine, in which highly-trained paramedics and nurses provide specialized care for critically ill or injured patients outside of hospital walls.
