OSAID is a provincial youth driven organization that strives to promote smart decisions through public awareness in a realistic and relevant manner to prevent tragedies caused by impaired driving.
OSAID has been instrumental in increasing public awareness since 1990, primarily through the peer based education and intervention campaigns. Unlike the adult population, each year there is a new population of teen drivers who need the tools and motivation to make smart decisions during their formative driving years. It becomes apparent that the delivery of these tools should come from a peer-based model in addition to the standard provincial driver education and licensing structure.
