Heritage Garden

The Osgoode Township Museum operates a 10,000 square foot heritage garden! The garden is modeled after a 1907 School Garden common in the area at that time. The garden demonstrates the important role School Gardens played in teaching students about food production. The garden is one of 115 community gardens in the City of Ottawa, and local residents are able to take what they need.

While you’re visiting the museum site, make sure to check out the Heritage Orchard and learn about rural agricultural life by visiting the museum building and barn.

The museum's volunteers maintain the garden. Your donation will support plantings and maintenance of the garden. A small donation will go a long way to ensure that the garden is there to be enjoyed by all!
