OCTEVAW is a non-partisan, non-profit charity that provides education and prevention programs designed to address violence against women, their children, and gender-diverse people. We advocate on behalf of more than 30 member organizations, affiliated institutions and independent community groups who work to address violence; we do this by amplifying their voices, facilitating knowledge exchange, and creating new anti-violence initiatives in response to emerging needs.
We centre the needs of the most vulnerable and underserved in our community—Indigenous, black and racialized peoples, members of the 2SLGBTQQIA+ community, and people living with disabilities.
