We are a committee made up of representatives from various Lutheran Churches in Ottawa who are committed to sponsoring refugees. We are a registered charity and form a constituent group under Canadian Lutheran World Relief, the Sponsorship Agreement Holder(SAH).
We have been sponsoring refugees since the late 1980s and hope to continue this important work long into the future. Our group is entirely volunteer and is funded by donations from congregations and individuals. The newcomers we have sponsored have come from Syria, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Liberia, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Vietnam.
