Ottawa Makers Shed (OMS) is part of a global Men's Shed movement.
The OMS Shed provides a welcoming and inclusive space where men can engage in collaborative, meaningful projects for the benefit of their community.
The purpose of the Shed is:
(a) To advance education by providing classes on the subjects of safety training (e.g. first aid, CPR, and fire safety), fabrication methods, and use of tools to the general public.
(b) To relieve conditions attributable to being aged by organizing social and recreation activities for aged persons who are experiencing social isolation and loneliness.
(c) To do all such things as are incidental or ancillary to the attainment of the above purposes.
OMS does not represent its activities as clinical, therapeutic, or health-care services.
