About Our Place Peel

Our Place Peel is a registered Canadian charity dedicated to supporting youth aged 16 – 24 who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless in the Region of Peel. For over 40 years, we have provided safe shelter, compassionate care, and opportunities that help young people move toward stability and independence.

We believe every youth deserves safety, dignity, and the chance to build a hopeful future. Our programs focus not only on meeting immediate needs such as shelter and food, but also on providing the tools, support, and life skills youth need to build long-term stability.

Today, Our Place Peel operates youth shelters and supportive programs across Brampton and Mississauga, serving young people throughout the Region of Peel.

Our Programs

Emergency Youth Shelter Our emergency youth shelter provides safe accommodation for up to 80 youth and operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Youth have access to meals, a safe place to stay, housing support, and connections to community services.

Resource Room The Resource Room provides a safe and supportive space where youth can access computers, printers, and other tools to search for employment, complete schoolwork, and apply for housing. Youth also participate in workshops focused on life skills, education, and employment readiness.

Outreach Services Our outreach team supports youth before, during, and after experiencing homelessness. Staff provide housing support, employment assistance, case management, and family reconciliation services to help youth navigate challenges and access community resources.

Mental Health Program Youth experiencing mental health and substance use challenges can work with a dedicated Mental Health Worker to develop personalized support plans that focus on healing, resilience, and overall well-being.

Transitional Housing Program Our Transitional Housing Program in Brampton provides youth aged 16–24 with stable housing and ongoing support while they work toward independence. The program includes 17 rent-geared-to-income bachelor units along with life skills development, education and employment support, and housing stabilization services.
