Connecting people with Water and Immersing them in Wonder has been Terry Brown the Amphibiographer's passion for decades. Here's what Terry's initiative Water Wonders of Canada Tour (WWCT) is all about: Inspiring and mentoring people to get outside and explore their local Waters, to be aware, and to feel a deep connection, which leads to love! From this love comes sustainable action, based on changed worldview, not just band-aid solutions which don’t address the root issues. Connection leads to protection. By supporting Terry and the Water Wonders of Canada Tour, PacFUNS is supporting his mission to inspire and motivate people to engage in actions which protect Water and all who live in Water.
From May though October of 2026 Terry will travel across Canada in his motorhome, from Sea to Sea, Pacific to Atlantic, celebrating Canada's vast, unique, WaterFull country by exploring and videoing the wonders of Water and sharing those with people on the tour website and social media. Immersing them in Wonder! On his own and connecting with Canadian elementary school classes, indigenous restoration projects, a Canadian Geographic Explorer in Residence, lifelong friends, naturalist clubs etc., Terry will encourage everyone to explore their Local Liquid and post videos of these interactions.
Along the way Terry will be videoing while snorkelling, free-diving, paddle-boarding, and canoeing. Starting out from his home in the Water-filled qathet Regional District of the upper Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Terry will traverse Canada to Newfoundland and back, celebrating the return of Adams River sockeye salmon in the last week of October!
More importantly from a PacFUNS capacity building objective this tour is occurring at a critical juncture in Canada’s history, when we need to appreciate, celebrate and protect our sovereignty as a nation, the true north, strong and free! The plan in 2027 is for Terry to travel to Canada’s northern sea, the Arctic Ocean, exploring and celebrating the little known aquatic wonders in Canada’s North and Arctic, at a time when Arctic sovereignty is a hotly contested issue.
