Supporting Cast Canada (formerly PAL Canada Foundation) is a national registered charity dedicated to supporting senior artists, performers, and creative professionals across Canada.

For nearly 40 years, starting out as Performing Arts Lodges Canada in 1986, and then as PAL Canada Foundation in 2008, we have worked to ensure that those who have enriched our cultural landscape remain connected, supported, valued, and engaged throughout their lives. Many creative professionals face unique challenges as they age, including isolation, financial insecurity, health concerns, and a loss of professional community. Supporting Cast Canada exists to help address those challenges.

Through innovative virtual and in-person programs, we foster social connection, lifelong learning, wellness, mentorship, and creative expression. Our initiatives include Game Days, Book PALs, Tea-Time, Check-In and Chat, Cyberizing Seniors, the Behind the Scenes Youth Masterclass Series, Canada Stories, and The Artwell, a new gallery, storytelling, and gathering space where creatives connect and belong.

We also advocate for affordable housing solutions for artists and work to preserve and celebrate the contributions that Canada's creative community has made to our nation's cultural identity.

Rooted in the belief that No Creative Senior Stands Alone, Supporting Cast Canada brings together artists, volunteers, donors, and community partners to create meaningful connections and opportunities for creative seniors from coast to coast.
