PARO is focused primarily on delivering programs to enhance enterprise development and to provide for the development and support of peer lending circles.

By offering educational programs, economic

alternatives, training, opportunity to network and mentor, business counselling, and support, PARO aims to improve the lives of its members and have a positive impact on the community and the region.

About PARO Centre for Women's Enterprise

PARO Centre provides a caring, supportive environment for women who want to achieve economic stability for themselves and their families. At PARO, we provide support, counseling, and resources so women can achieve a sustainable livelihood.

January 2010 marks PARO's 15th year of providing support and resources to women in rural and remote communities of Northwestern Ontario. In 2009 alone, we've touched the lives of approximately 11,960 women and their families. Since PARO's inception in 1995, we have provided training to 1676 women, organized networking opportunities for 4544 women, and provided PARO loans from $500 to $5000, totaling $256,500.
