The Civic Sponsorship of Haut-Richelieu is a volunteer-based community organization. Its mission is to promote the inclusion of people with intellectual or physical disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or mental health issues through mentoring and volunteer involvement.

Mentoring with a sponsor or godparent facilitates the social inclusion of the person with a disability and helps them regain control of their life, by sharing meaningful and rewarding moments.

Meetings between the volunteer and the mentees take place several times a year, around cultural, sports, recreational, educational, or community activities. These can occur as part of activities organized by the organization or during independent outings planned by the volunteer and their matched mentee.
