The Rapid Response to Gun Violence program is an extension of the 2018-2019 RRGV program that was successfully completed by PEACH. The initial program affirmed the strong need for direct interventions and supports to youth who are experiencing the many forms of gun violence in north-west Toronto and specifically in the Jane Finch community. This program employs a team of youth support workers and partner organizations to advance conflict resolution and diffuse conflict. Youth will have access to bi-weekly peer sessions run by Registered Therapists to explore the roots of youth violence as well as coping strategies, alternatives to violence, life skills and building positive futures.
