Patrick's Birthday Bash is a fundraiser for kids!

Join us for an epic celebration at The Edgewater Bar and Grill on Beach Avenue in Peachland, BC, Canada. Get ready to have a blast while supporting a great cause! This in-person event is about making Patrick's birthday unforgettable and raising funds for kids in need!

Instead of gifts, I’m inviting my guests to donate money so the Peachland Elementary School can purchase computers/laptops for those students who need them.

I have partnered with the Peachland Wellness Centre, and they will handle the donation part of this event.

You’re invited to Patrick Van Minsel’s Birthday Bash for Kids on February 23, 2024, at 6 pm at Edgewater Pub & Grill. Free Finger Food served from 6 - 9 pm. One complimentary beverage per guest: Karaoke, Live Music and Silent Auction. At the event, donations are gratefully accepted by the Peachland Wellness Centre; all proceeds will support our local elementary students.

The other day, I was at the Peachland Elementary School. I find myself there often representing Peachland Council, and it is always an enjoyable time. But I left this particular visit with a heavy heart. I had been chatting with Principal Wendy Briggs, and our conversation moved to how Peachland families are coping with today’s financial strains. T

She told me that Peachland students don't have computer access (laptops). The school does what it can for these students, but it is a real setback for some of our youngest citizens.

I was there to join the West Kelowna Warriors in encouraging Peachland Elementary students to take in the special “Peachland Warriors” game on Jan. 27. I was happy to promote this fun event for Peachlanders. Still, I realized there was something I could do that may have a bit more impact on these young citizens.

I’m hosting a birthday party and inviting all my friends, neighbours, local business people and volunteers to join me.
