Seniors Program

PCAS provides a safe and welcoming virtual and physical space for seniors to come together for volunteering, learn a new skill or simply connect with others. The objective of the program is to reduce social isolation, increase volunteering and support healthy aging among seniors.  Keeping seniors at the heart of our work means that we are able to meet these seniors where they’re at, build trusting relationships, and invite them to participate in ways that are meaningful to them.

We run weekly arts and crafts activities, and skills development workshops. Our programs include pottery, crocheting, knitting, paper crafts, painting and digital skills workshops, intergenerational mentoring, online safety awareness, and English Cafes to develop language skills.

We have been successful in promoting positive social health and enabling seniors to come together and engage in activities that enhance their dignity, support their independence, and encourage their involvement in the community. With your support we can continue our senior’s programs and ensure that seniors are included, engaged, and participate in social activities and create experiences for meaningful community integration.
