Peel Children’s Centre (PCC) is a fully accredited, not-for-profit, children’s mental health agency. Established in 1985, PCC serves the mental health treatment needs of children and youth living in Peel Region. Today, PCC has grown to become one of the largest children’s mental health treatment organizations in Canada and the Lead Agency for Peel Region.
PCC offers a continuum of high-quality mental health services, with over 35 specialized programs including: 24/7 Crisis Response; Counselling; Intensive Child & Family Service; School Based Programs, Group Services, Residential Treatment; Sexual Abuse Treatment; and Tangerine Walk-In Clinic.
PCC provides help and hope to 4,200 children, youth and their families annually. All program and services are provided confidentially and free of charge. In addition, PCC actively educates about the impact of mental health challenges, and key services available in the Region of Peel through community outreach, public education and online through social media.
In 2014, PCC received 100% in its review of National Accreditation Standards by the Canadian Centre for Accreditation (CCA). Most recently, the Ontario Government has announced that PCC is the Lead Agency for the Region of Peel in the forthcoming transformation of the child and youth mental health system in Ontario.
