Since 2005, the Manitoba Peregrine Falcon Recovery Project has been able to share the day-to-day lives of the province's peregrines with the general public via our FalconCam. At the same time, the webcams allow the Project to closely monitor the peregrines during the nesting season so that we can support them and ensure their safety and security.
Because the Project is a small not-for-profit recovery imitative, installing and maintaining our camera equipment is an expense that we manage carefully. However, hardware eventually needs to be replaced, though fortunately for us, not all at at the same time. We don't charge a subscription to view the FalconCam as some cams as a way to cover basic operating costs. And we'd very much like to once again have a webcam at the McKenzie Seeds nestsite in Brandon.
If you would like to support the Manitoba FalconCam, please consider making a donation to this campaign through CanadaHelps or through the Peregrine Project website.
