About the Charity

There are over 8 million family caregivers across Canada - They are taking care of friends and family who have physical or mental health conditions, often sacrificing their own physical and mental health in the process. That's 1 in 4 Canadians, and includes your friends, neighbours, colleagues - maybe even yourself.

The average family caregiver spends 19 hours a week providing care, and this is in addition to work and standard household and family commitments. caregivers are often overwhelmed and lack the resources and supports they need.

The Foundation supports family caregivers by:

-Raising awareness of the cause;

-Providing charitable grants to charities across the country who support family caregivers;

-Fundraising for the cause, so we can support more programs;

-Work with experts to develop resources and information for all Canadians to benefit from.
