Pi Theatre produces & presents bold & uncompromising plays exploring modern life; theatre that's intellectually alive & emotionally charged.
Pi's vision is to build an empathetic and connected world through theatre.
Our mission is to produce and present theatre that’s intellectually alive and emotionally charged.
History: Pi Theatre was founded as Pink Ink Theatre Productions Association in 1984 by German émigré Sandhano Schultz. Incorporated in 1988,
Pi quickly established a reputation for ambitious, challenging work, with innovative aesthetics and high production values. Pi’s current artistic director, Richard Wolfe, has focused on relevant and impactful programming, resulting in shows that respond directly to its mission.
Pi develops, produces and tours original Canadian work. Pi also presents shows from the local community and across Canada through our Pi Provocateurs Performance Presentation Series.
In addition, Pi produces Canadian premieres of significant international work. We believe we operate in a global environment where exposure to ideas and practices from outside Canada is essential for the growth of Canadian artists.
All our production and presentation choices are guided by our core vision: To build an empathetic and connected world through theatre.
