An icon in the area. Port Bickerton Lighthouse property was destined to become a PCB dump site. The local residents rebelled against this plan and decided this site, which was shuttered, would become a Tourist Attraction. Now the Lighthouse stands proudly with four local staff hired annually, to shwocase just how beautiful the area is. Three and a half km's of groomed trails. an artist retreat. which becomes a rental cottage, an interoperative centre, a picnic park, a view to die for. The smell of the sea and the salt from the mighty Atlantic, complete the picture. This site is run solely by volunteers.
