In January of 2020 we have a drilling rig lined up to start the process of drilling a well to provide our Community of 50+ families with 50+ years of safe, clean, reliable drinking water.
At present these families rely on rain water or town water which is not reliable, at times they can go days with no water access. This water is by no means clean or safe either.
We at Power At Work are in the process of building a compound on a half acre of property in the middle of the Community of Cocalito, Guazacapan in Guatemala.
In 2018 we raised funds to build a wall around the property to provide safe boundaries for us as well as the youth of the community.
On August 10,2019 we are hosting a Fundraiser for our Community Enhancement Projects which include a Multi purpose work shop where we provide employment for the Community youth teaching them wood working skills, electrical skills and soon bicycle repairing skills.
We also have a 60 x 100 foot soccer field which we will use for Community Soccer along with other sports such as obstacle races, bouldering wall, and Family Movie Nights, Community Blessings Days and our Community Nutrition Programs.
Currently these programs are being carried out on borrowed land and we are thank ful for that opportunity.
Our goal from the onset was to provide a drilled well so that the folks in the Community would have daily access to safe drinking water, helping in with their many health issues due to the contaminated water.
We would be honoured to have your support and we wish you God's many blessings.
Drilling is scheduled for January of 2020.
