Preeclampsia Foundation Canada is a national charity committed to reducing maternal and infant illness and death caused by preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome, and other hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. Since 2015, we have worked to empower families, educate care providers, raise public awareness, and fund life-saving research across Canada.

Every year, preeclampsia affects 5–8% of pregnancies—over 10 million mothers worldwide. Despite its impact, the World Health Organization identifies preeclampsia as one of the least-funded areas of maternal health research. Together, we are changing that.

Thanks to generous supporters and community partners like Grace’s Imprint and Cara HELLPs, Preeclampsia Foundation Canada has invested over $259,000 in maternal health research through our Vision Grant program. These grants fund innovative Canadian scientists studying placental health, early prediction tools, cardiovascular risks, recovery after hypertensive pregnancies, and other breakthroughs that protect mothers and babies.
