To help older adults live well at home, stay active and feel connected to their community.
About PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY COMMUNITY CARE FOR SENIORS ASSOCIATION
Our services include meals, transportation, reassurance programs, foot care, grocery delivery, help with forms, home making and home maintenance, virtual and in-person social and recreational activity, fitness, friendship, education and caregiver support.
Nutrition services that see hot or frozen meals delivered to the door of clients or provided in a congregate setting in the rural parts of the county.
Escorted transportation services where volunteers drive seniors to medical and other appointments as well as assist with getting groceries and other essentials to support the choice to live at home.
Reassurance and visiting programs to help people remain safe and socially involved even when they are shut in.
Helping with maintaining one's home such as light and heavy cleaning, meal preparation, yard and garden work, show shoveling, etc.
Activities to maintain active living such as a walking program, footcare clinics, Wii bowling and Tai Chi.
Respite and support for those who care for elderly people at home.
Prince Edward County is home to one of the highest senior populations in Ontario. With your support and the help of more than 400 amazing volunteers, there are many community support services available to help seniors live comfortably in their own home.
