What the Foundation does

Hospitals serve the health care needs of their communities. Since being founded in 1985, the PECMH Foundation’s job has been to serve the funding needs of our hospital. That means that while the Ontario Ministry of Health, through tax dollars, pays for the day-to-day operation of our hospital, the Foundation raises money in our community from donors for the bricks and mortar building, for repairs and maintenance and for the purchase of high priority medical equipment needed for patient care.

Why support your hospital?

Each year, our County hospital staff treats thousands of people for several manners of health care needs - over 41,000 individual visits. Donor support allows us to purchase vital medical equipment that saves lives and improves the quality of life for your friends, family and neighbours.

Our strength comes from building partnerships

The Foundation’s goal is to build partnerships in the County with individuals, businesses and industry, service organizations, social clubs, church groups and others who will work with us to meet the needs of our fundraising endeavours. Supporting our hospital in this role can only succeed through the strength of coming together as community partners.
