The Prince Edward Island 4-H Trust has played a significant role in the success of the 4-H PEI program since 1987.  Its main purpose is to provide funding for programs and services which are of benefit to the provincial 4-H movement, its members and leaders, and which are additional to those provided by the PEI 4-H Council and current funding sources.

The Trust solicits and receives donations from a wide variety of sources and invests the funds under the direction of a volunteer Board of Trustees.  The principal amount of the donation remains intact, while only the interest on the principal is spent.

The Trust is overseen by six Trustees who are selected by the PEI 4-H Provincial Council, as follows:

- one representing the PEI Provincial Council Board of Directors

- two representing the Voting Delegates of the PEI 4-H membership

- two representing the business community

- one member at large

with the assistance of the Administrative Director of the PEI 4-H Provincial Council.
