The PEI Humane Society is raising funds to build PEI a new animal shelter. As part of this project, we're installing a memorial monument and gardens called the Walk of Paws.

The memorial monument will be placed near the front entrance of our new shelter and will be viewed by everyone who enters and leaves the building. By purchasing a plaque as part of this monument, you have an opportunity to memorialize a cherished pet (or pets), a family member or friend, and show your support for the PEI Humane Society's capital project. The PEI Humane Society is engaged in a public capital campaign to build a $4 million animal shelter on their property on Sherwood Road, directly behind their existing facility. The Expanding our Paw Print project will help create a safe, Fear Free facility that promotes the health of the companion animals in care and across the province. 

The principles of the new design focus on creating an environment that reduces animal stress, controls disease, and promotes overall wellness. It will address critical issues like air quality, temperature, and control of illness, helping us to provide the best possible environment for care.
