Project SHARE is an acronym for: Support, Housing, Awareness, Resources and Emergency. Project SHARE (1991) was developed as a non - profit charitable organization in response to an increased demand for emergency services. Residents of Niagara Falls are eligible who are living on or below the poverty line as stipulated by Statistics Canada. The programs are designed to create positive, proactive alternatives in order that people can help themselves and their families in times of crisis.

Project SHARE operates many programs that are utilized by residents of Niagara Falls that are living below the poverty line as stipulated by Statistics Canada. Programs in include an emergency food bank, housing assistance, utility subsidy help, transportation and emergency prescriptions that are not covered by OHIP. Project SHARE has several in-house and community wide partnerships with other social assistance agencies that help people in times of crisis.
