Pueblo Science aims to sustainably reduce poverty through science (STEM) education in low-resource communities in Canada and globally.
Our mission is to reduce poverty by advancing science education and enabling innovation in low-resource communities. We achieve this by:
- Training science teachers to integrate hands-on STEM activities that foster scientific thinking and creative problem-solving, using low-cost, locally available materials.
- Providing hands-on, collaborative workshops to empower local changemakers to shape their communities.
ABOUT US
Founded in 2010 by scientists, engineers, and educators, Pueblo Science aims to transform how STEM education is delivered in rural communities, inspiring the next generation of innovators.
Since its inception, Pueblo Science’s local and international programs have impacted approximately 450,000 children and 5,500 teachers in eight countries. Over 1,000 Canadians have been trained to develop and deliver our programs in Canada, the Philippines, Guyana, Jamaica, Thailand, India, and Bolivia.
Since 2020, we have partnered with Indigenous youth in Northern Ontario, Canada, offering hands-on science activities tailored to classroom needs. Most recently, we trained 150 teachers in Indonesia and are collaborating with youth groups in South Kalimantan to bring engaging, hands-on science activities to children in rural areas.
