About PURA VIDA FOUNDATION
In 2005, Nathan Beninger established the Pura Vida Foundation (meaning Pure Life in Spanish) which is a registered charity in Canada that focuses on improving the lives of children and youth in Latin America.
The foundation hopes to attain this goal through varied projects. The Pura Vida Foundation opened its first Shelter in January 2009 on a rental basis, which reaches out to marginalized and exploited young girls of Cusco, Peru and surrounding areas. We are working to raise $110,000 to permanently establish the shelter. In addition, Pura Vida strives to provide basic necessities throughout Cusco.
