The Quesnel Festival of the Performing Arts (QFPA) is a not-for-profit society, run by a group of volunteers who are devoted to sparking and encouraging a life-long passion for the Performing Arts. Our local Festival provides incredible opportunities for aspiring performers as well as fans of the Performing Arts.   

Every year, during our multidisciplinary festival, participants from British Columbia are invited to share their talents and gain a greater knowledge and appreciation for the Performing Arts.  Students of Dance, Band and Instrumental, Vocal, Choral, Piano, Speech and Dramatic Arts are given the opportunity to polish up their particular discipline through a forum that provides training, experiences and opportunities above and beyond their regular studies.  Performers meet other performers from across the Province and learn from trained professionals and instructors within their chosen discipline.

During the Festival, students perform in public before professional adjudicators selected from all across Canada.  These adjudicators provide feedback and constructive comments, often in a workshop format, in order to promote growth and learning.  Many performers continue on at a Provincial level if chosen by their adjudicator to attend the Annual Provincial Festival of the Performing Arts.
