Rainbow Riders - Therapeutic Riding NL Inc.
Based in the heart of St. John’s in Pippy Park, Rainbow Riders has been offering therapeutic horseback riding to youth with physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities for almost 30 years. The organization is volunteer-based, and all instructors are nationally accredited. Its programs help children with special needs make connections, improve their posture and balance, increase core strength, improve breathing and speech, among many other benefits from this progressive form of therapy.
Rainbow Riders operates a full-time facility that can house 16 horses and ponies and it provides an indoor riding arena that operates year-round. These operations are only possible with the assistance of generous donations from members of the community.
