Each day, families in Cap Haitian reach out to the Centre for Nutrition and Education for Women and Children, seeking support to meet the most urgent of basic needs: food, shelter, health care. None of these things should be something that a family has to fight or beg for, and all of them keep families trapped in poverty, worrying about the current day, and unable to break out of the cycle long-term. .

Through the Red Zone program, families facing the most extreme situations and marginalization receive assistance to meet their most urgent needs, and find a welcoming environment where they can receive further support to begin tackling the longer-term issues. Even a modest gift of $25 can make a significant impact, assisting with school tuition fees and emergency food distributions, providing essential school uniforms and medicines, or contributing towards housing for those struggling with adequate shelter.
