FORM (Festival Of Recorded Movement) is an international movement-on-screen festival that centers the voices of youth and emerging artists. FORM is a project of Recorded Movement Society (RMS), an organization that curates events, screenings and an annual film festival.
We screen and commission films that explore the limitless possibilities of the body in motion through film. We provide a platform to support early-career artists in the exploration of this medium while introducing our audiences to expansive, genre-defying filmmaking. FORM presents films that investigate the body in motion through curiosity, experimentation, and imagination. We are interested in films that creatively explore our personal lived experiences and how such themes can be told through narrative and experiential approaches.

Ten years of celebrating the body in motion through film have brought us here: to a milestone that asks us to reflect on the past, be present with what’s alive right now, and imagine what’s possible in the future for movement-on-screen.
Over the last decade, we’ve created space for artists who move, dance, film, edit, and experiment in ways that don’t always fit into existing categories. Youth and Emerging voices have always remained at the centre of the festival, both on screen and behind the scenes. This is a space where their risks are celebrated, and their stories can be shared, felt and witnessed. Where the medium of movement-on-screen transforms and grounds our understanding of bodies, humanity, and connection.
At the heart of it all is the people. The staff, artists, audiences, collaborators, and friends who return year after year, not just to witness the work, but to be in it with us.
