Lindsey More was a beautiful person inside and out. Her contagious laugh, charming and outgoing personality, big heart and warm smile hid something 1 in 5 Canadians battle within any given year: mental illness.
In September of 2015, Lindsey took her own life.
During Lindsey’s lifetime, she told her father that she wanted to start a foundation that would raise money to help children, teens and young adults who are fighting mental illness but do not have the financial support required to get the proper help needed.
Her family is committed to making her dream a reality.
Just weeks after losing Lindsey, the More’s made a promise to help others in Lindsey’s name. With the help of their family and community, they developed the Smiles Thru Lindsey Foundation. The Foundation is committed to providing mental health supports and proactive, early intervention for youth in Red Deer.
We invite you to make a charitable donation to Smiles Thru Lindsey in order to fund programs to support the mental health of our children.
“Every life that is saved through the initiatives supported by Smiles Thru Lindsey is because of Lindsey. We are now her voice and will never forget her courage,” Rick More, Lindsey’s father.
