Regatta Kala Kendra is a South Asian not-for-profit charitable organization that focuses on training and creating works using the vocabulary of South Indian classical forms such as Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Mohiniyattam. Founded by Harikishan S Nair, a leading Indo-Canadian dancer, choreographer, and teacher who currently serves as Artistic Director, Regatta is celebrated for its artistic innovation. The organization creates a wide spectrum of works through new methods of working situated in these forms, but expanding beyond repertoire works. At the forefront of dance education, Regatta is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of Canadians in these classical forms, inspiring audiences with its creative and dynamic interpretations of movement.
