The Regent Theatre, founded in 1918 and incorporated in 1982, is the entertainment hub of Prince Edward County. For over 100 years we have been dedicated to providing year-round cinema and live entertainment to our rural community.  We offer first run, curated independent and international films and live events ranging from local performers to international stars.

Operating primarily as a rental venue we also produce live events ranging from theatre to music to speaking engagements designed to attract a local and tourist audience.

In response to COVID we have introduced a hybrid programming model which will enable us to stream content live online from our stage. This opens new producing opportunities and partnerships that we are actively exploring. 

We also function as a community access point for local businesses and individuals who rent our equipment and/or or our additional spaces (greenroom, loft, offices, store front space) for rehearsals, workshops, receptions, meetings and more.

With only one full time employee we are largely volunteer run.

We are deeply committed to serving our community, ensuring access and engagement for all and preserving our wonderful heritage building which is a County landmark.
